Half-day trip (4 hours) 

Pompeii is now considered one of the world's most important historical sites because of the way the volcanic ash preserved the city and its people. This gives historians and archaeologists a vivid picture of life in the Roman Empire around 2,000 years ago.The first excavations were in the 18th century, and 250 years on about 75% of the town has been dug out. The 2 hour walking covers the main public monuments and some of the homes in the town.

PROGRAM: 

Pick-up at meeting point . Drive along the Sorrento Coast and enjoy views of the Bay of Naples on the way to Pompeii. Enjoy a 2 hours guided visit in the excavations with an expert and authorized local guide: discover the life of the Ancient Romans see the main public monuments, the Forum and some of the houses of the Pompeii ruins. At the end of the visit a little bit of free time will be given before returning to Sorrento by bus approx. at 01:30 pm.
